Your role as supplier
An escrow agreement gives your customers assurance, but only if the deposit is actually usable. Softcrow helps you arrange this properly, from the first delivery to a possible verification audit.
What does Softcrow do for you?
Softcrow takes care of the agreement, the technical infrastructure and the coordination between all parties involved. Through the Dashboard you always have insight into the status of your deposits.
What do you do yourself?
- Deliver a deposit periodically: at every relevant change in the software, so that the deposit is always up to date
- Draw up a clear deposit specification: this is the only readable information about what is inside the encrypted deposit. A complete specification is essential for the beneficiary and for a smooth verification audit
- Manage the encryption key: you devise the key, manage it and share it out-of-band with the beneficiary. The key is never shared with Softcrow
- Support key verification: the beneficiary can check whether the encryption key matches the deposit. Make sure the correct key is available
- Cooperate with a verification audit: at the beneficiary’s request or on your own initiative, you build a working environment from the deposit and the previously supplied compilation manual, under the supervision of an independent IT auditor affiliated with NOREA, who assesses whether the build follows the supplied description
